Idemili South Mayor Flags-off Third Phase Of Skills Acquisition Programme

The Local Government Chairman of Idemili South, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi has flagged-off third phase of skills acquisition programme in the council secretariat, Ojoto.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Amaka Obi said that the programme is aimed at promoting Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s agenda on job creation, stating that it will help in skilling up women and youths in the council area and promote their employability beyond academic certificates.
While stating that the state is very lucky to have a hard working Governor that have achieved almost what he promised ndi Anambra in his manifesto, the Mayor maintained that the aim is to stem the rising rate of unemployment among youths, support productive small businesses, create jobs and alleviate poverty and urged the participants not to take it for granted.
In his speech, the Deputy Speaker of Legislative House, Hon. Valentine Mbadugha appreciated Hon. Amaka Obi for following the footsteps of Governor Soludo and appreciated Charly Nwa Mgbafor for giving Idemili South the best gift.
In his remark, Comrade Nnamdi Nweke who is HOD Education, lauded Hon. Obi for providing relevant vocational training for women and youths in the council area and described the beneficiaries as lucky and further charged them to take the opportunity very seriously.
In a vote of thanks, Hon. Mrs Jane Egbuko who applauded Hon. Obi for her kind gesture and prayed for more strength to continue her strength service to the people and the council area.

the workshop in hair dressing, baking/catering/decoration, bag sewing/leather work is expected to last for three months.
