Following credible intelligence from DSS operatives in Danmusa, authorities swiftly mobilized.
They discovered armed bandits assembling on Maijele Mountain within the same LGA, prompting immediate intervention.
By uniting resources, security forces neutralized the threat decisively. This operation underscored the effectiveness of interagency cooperation in safeguarding vulnerable communities.
The bandits, reportedly in significant numbers, were preparing to launch an attack on the nearby village of Dan Takuri.
The information reached security operatives at approximately 12:30 PM, prompting an immediate and decisive response.
A police-KSCWC team, led by the Danmusa DPO, swiftly mobilized to intercept the threat. Immediately deploying, they confronted armed bandits at Maijele Mountain, sparking a fierce gunfight.
Using superior tactics, the team neutralized one bandit and forced others to flee with injuries. Following the clash, authorities recovered an AK-47 rifle, ammunition, an unregistered motorcycle, 50 hemp wraps, 32 soft drinks, a cutlass, and drugs.
The operation underscored proactive coordination, ensuring rapid response and decisive outcomes against criminal activities.
These discoveries underscore the preparedness of the bandits for their illicit activities.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, commended the operatives for their professionalism and bravery during the operation.
