Manchester United claimed a convincing 3-0 win against Leicester City on Sunday, with Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho finally breaking their respective goal droughts.
The victory provided a much-needed morale boost for the Red Devils, who have struggled for consistency in recent weeks.
Hojlund put United ahead in the first half with a precise strike into the bottom corner, marking his first goal in 21 matches across all competitions.
His last goal had come in December, making this a huge breakthrough for the striker.
Garnacho also ended his scoring drought, finding the net in the second half after having an earlier effort disallowed for offside.
The Argentine forward had not scored since November, making his goal a welcome relief. Bruno Fernandes played a key role in both goals, delivering well-timed assists before adding a spectacular third in stoppage time to seal the win.
However, the match was marred by an unfortunate injury to young defender Ayden Heaven.
Making his first Premier League start, Heaven was forced off on a stretcher after a painful injury, dealing another blow to United’s already depleted squad.
Despite the setback, the victory was United’s second consecutive three-goal win, lifting them to 13th in the league standings. The team will now look to build on this momentum as they continue their campaign.
