Fubara: I Don’t Think There’s Anything Else He Can Do Other Than to Wait for Them- Paworiso Horsfall

A former House of Representatives member, Paworiso Horsfall, has stated that at this stage, there is little the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara can do except wait for the Martin Amaewhule-led Rivers State House of Assembly to grant him the opportunity to present the budget.
During an interview with Channels TV, Horsfall noted that Governor Siminalayi Fubara had already fulfilled his duty by going to the Assembly complex to present the budget, but the lawmakers denied him access.
He stressed that the governor has consistently expressed his readiness to present the budget whenever the Assembly is willing to receive it.
Horsfall further stated that the Martin Amaewhule-led Rivers State House of Assembly appears to be executing the agenda of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
He argued that the Assembly might be acting under Wike’s directives, as the lawmakers seem to follow only the instructions given by their principal, the FCT Minister.
He said, “What he should do is what he has done. He has come to present the budget, which they have refused to grant him access to. What else will he do? Of course, he has told them that he is ready to present this budget at any time. Whenever they are ready, he is ready to present the budget. It looks like they are playing out the script of their principal, who, incidentally, is the FCT Minister (Nyesom Wike). They do only that which he tells them to do. I don’t think there’s anything else he can do other than to wait for them.”
