Noussair Mazraoui limped out of Utd changing rooms after derby win
There’s very little that could dampen the Manchester United faithful’s spirits after last night’s emphatic derby win, but a potential injury to an integral player will certainly do it.
Of course, Mason Mount is one Red who is now facing yet another spell on the sidelines after he pulled up within 15 minutes and was withdrawn immediately, being consoled by several of his teammates as he exited the pitch.
The midfielder has endured absolutely torrid luck since his £60 million move from Chelsea last year. His situation is now looking concerningly similar to that of Luke Shaw’s, where they’re only able to feature for two to three matches before sustaining a setback.
Ruben Amorim was unable to offer an update on the condition of Mount – who was replaced by Kobbie Mainoo – at full-time, so fans can expect clarification on his issue in the boss’ press conference later this week.

Elsewhere, one player seemingly suffered a problem that slipped under the radar amidst United’s euphoric celebrations after the full-time whistle, as journalist Steven Railston confirmed after the game that Noussair Mazraoui had been spotted ‘limping’ out of the away changing rooms.

The fullback has started 14 of United’s 16 league games thus far and has been a standout performer in almost each of them.
He kept livewire winger Jeremy Doku at bay with ease throughout the clash on Sunday while also completing 100 per cent of his attempted dribbles, winning nine duels and six tackles, and making two clearances, one interception and one block, as per StatmanDave.
Any potential layoff to Mazraoui would come as a substantial blow for Amorim to navigate, especially during the festive – and most hectic – period of the fixture schedule.
That being said, the recent return of Tyrell Malacia does allow Diogo Dalot to occupy his preferred position on the right-hand side of defence, so options are there if necessary.
