Dare critiques Baba-Ahmed’s discourse as illogical, flawed

On Saturday, Sunday Dare, the President’s Special Adviser on Media & Public Communication, delivered a series of statements.

In his remarks, he sharply critiqued Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed for his approach to political discourse.

Dare characterized Baba-Ahmed’s arguments as marked by “illogical logic” and “flawed arguments.”

He further described them as “empty” rhetoric, ultimately failing to promote meaningful political dialogue.

Dare voiced his opinion on his verified X handle, stating, “Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed’s ‘illogical logic’ pervaded his recent interview.”

He argued that Baba-Ahmed’s points were flawed and devoid of reason, which made them entirely empty.

Moreover, the former minister added that Baba-Ahmed appeared disconnected from reality. He stated, “He might as well have dropped from space, considering the absurdity of his interview remarks.”

In addition, Dare ridiculed Baba-Ahmed’s views on Nigeria’s political landscape. He compared his statements to unreliable forecasts, likening them to the hollow predictions of “charlatan ‘prophets’ that never materialize.”

Furthermore, Dare criticized the Labour Party’s leadership duo of Peter Obi and Baba-Ahmed. He referred to them as a “double whammy in the Nigerian political space.”

Finally, he questioned Baba-Ahmed’s political reasoning, asserting, “His political logic wouldn’t pass even a first-year political science class… students would challenge his postulations.”

Dare took particular issue with Baba-Ahmed’s assertion that President Bola Tinubu would not secure re-election in 2027.

“He chose to base his political calculations on President Bola Tinubu not winning a second term… He conveniently avoided the substance of performance and capacity,” Dare remarked.

In defense of President Tinubu’s reforms, Dare asserted that the “positive impacts of tough choices made by President Tinubu are already felt.”

He supported this by citing the International Monetary Fund’s acknowledgment of Tinubu’s economic policies.

Continuing to challenge Baba-Ahmed’s credibility, Dare accused him of dishonesty, particularly for asserting that President Tinubu isn’t fulfilling his campaign promises.

As the 2027 elections approach, Dare predicted that “Baba-Ahmed and the other presidential wannabes will need all available marines to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

Dare concluded with a pointed dismissal: “Politics is not for theorists or the faint-hearted nor the parochial… If Datti Baba-Ahmed is smart, he will simply keep quiet and leave politics for those equipped for that complicated art.”

This exchange underscores the heated nature of political discourse in Nigeria as the country looks toward its future leadership.
