Airlines to resume full operations as NiMet workers suspend strike

There is light at the end of the tunnel as airline operations across the country are set to return to normal, following the suspension of industrial strike by staff of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet).

The strike, which started on Monday over unresolved welfare issues, prompted several carriers, including Air Peace, to stop operations indefinitely.

However, NiMet employees agreed to suspend the strike on Thursday after the federal government stepped in to mediate the face-off.

With the resolution underway, airlines are now preparing to resume full services.
