Anambra Govt Sanctions School For Monitizing Pupils Position, Begins Investigation

Anambra State Government has imposed a one-month sanction on Blossom Fount School for allegedly asking their pupils aspiring to become the Head Prefect in primary section to purchase the form for
five thousand naira (N5,000)

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Anambra Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, who revealed this, added that investigation has been launched into the school’s broader management practices.

According to Chuma-Udeh, the practice is a deeply troubling attempt to commercialize student leadership and exploit children’s ambitions for financial gain.

The Commissioner described the act as amounting to “selling the psyche of the children to the highest bidder from the cradle.”

Prof. Chuma-Udeh while condemning the act, reiterated that such conduct is not tolerated under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, which is committed to upholding integrity and fairness within the education system.
