Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim might be able to rely on Joshua Zirkzee in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
The Dutchman has been out with a hamstring injury he suffered during the 1-4 defeat to Newcastle last month. A few days later, Amorim suggested that Zirkzee’s campaign was already over.
This was considered a major blow for the Red Devils who are already short of options in attack, especially in the Europa League, with Chido Obi-Martin ineligible to play.
Nevertheless, Zirkzee refused to raise the white flag as he revealed during a chat with his former Bayern Munich teammate Alphonso Davies on Twitch.
Zirkzee set to rejoin Man United squad

According to CentreDevils, the 23-year-old has been training with his teammates in recent days, and is now expected to rejoin the squad for the trip to Bilbao.
The source remains unsure whether or not he’ll challenge for a starting berth, but the versatile attacker is tipped to gain some playing time, especially considering his growing importance for the cause; Amorim has already expressed his desire to keep him for next season.
Although he hasn’t been a goal-machine by any means, Zirkzee has been excellent in the build-up phase, seamlessly linking up with his teammates. He is a less conventional centre-forward compared to Rasmus Hojlund who is a traditional out-and-out striker.

United signed the Netherlands international for £36.5 million last summer following an exceptional campaign at Bologna. His former boss Thiago Motta hailed him as a ‘special player’.
The same source also reveals that Leny Yoro and Diogo Dalot have also regained their fitness after slight injury issues, and should be on the trip to Spain as well.
The Red Devils will clash heads with Tottenham on Wednesday as both clubs try to rescue an abysmal campaign by gaining some silverware, and perhaps more importantly, a spot in next season’s Champions League.
