Anambra Govt set to establish own Electricity Regulatory Commission, launches recruitment drive for experts

The Anambra State Government is ready to establish it’s own Electricity Regulatory Commission (ASERC) to implement the recently assented Anambra State Electricity Law.
This decision was reached at the 10th Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) meeting held at the new Government House Awka on Monday.
Although the full details of the Electricity Regulatory Commission is quite unknown, but ANSEC believes that the establishment of the commission will be immediate and therefore launched a recruitment drive for subject-matter experts to join the new commission.
In a statement released by the Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor and made available to newsmen in Awka, the council decided that all Facilities Used As Holding Places for Child Beggars will be Confiscated and sealed in compliance with the Anambra Homeland Security Law 2025.
Also, ANSEC renamed the new Anambra Government House Mini City as “Light House Awka,” in keeping with Anambra State’s slogan, “Light of the Nation.”
“ANSEC relived the spectacular Special International Children’s Day (May 27) 2025 celebration at Solution Fun City and gave the children credit for theirbe good conduct despite their large numbers.
“Procurement and Supply of Official Uniforms and Operational Gears to Ocha Brigade, Anambra State by Analiro Enterprises Ltd at the Contract Sum of ₦155,653,550.00”.###
