Mayor Of Njikoka Inspect Uruokwu Health Centre In Enugwu-Ukwu, Promises Facility Upgrade

The Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Council, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba, on Wednesday 25th June 2025, paid an inspection visit to the Health Centre at Uruokwe Village, Enugwu-Ukwu.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the Mayor in his remark said the visit was aimed at assessing the state of the facility and identifying urgent areas for intervention.
Hon. Ononiba expressed concern over the condition of some key areas in the health centre and promised to fix and upgrade critical facilities to enhance healthcare delivery in the community. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that residents, especially women and children, have access to quality healthcare at the grassroots level.
In a vote of thanks, Sir. Mark Onyemelukwe appreciated the Mayor’s prompt response and ongoing support to the health sector. He also urged the community to continue supporting government efforts toward building a healthier Njikoka.
The Local Government boss was
accompanied by Hon. Afoma Okpala, Supervisor for Health; Hon. Obiora Alexander Anene, Councillor representing Ward 2, Enugwu-Ukwu. Chief. Sam Ekpe, Chairman of the Health Committee, Uruokwe Village; and Mrs. Amaoge Okeke, the Head Nurse of the centre.
