# The Special Adviser to Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo on Community Security, Chief Ken Emeakayi has declared that no Agunechemba operative of the Operation Udo Ga Chi Security Service is above the law.
Emeakayi who made the declarative statement in an interview in his office, stated in very strong terms that there are no sacred cows and no sentimental or emotional attachments in their operations judging from the law establishing the security outfit.
Emeakayi who is overseeing the Agunechemba Operation Udo Ga Chi Security Service on behalf of the governor, said they arrest their operatives who contravened the law, stressing that there are no nepotism in their service delivery.

# Wife of Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese and President, Women Ministry, Mrs Chinyere Ezeofor has bemoaned growing socio-economic hardship bedeviling Nigerian citizens.
Ezeofor regretted prevalent hunger and difficulty confronting the masses amidst abundant natural, human and material resources.
Speaking during the 20th Aguata Diocesan Women Conference at St. Luke’s Parish, Isulo, Ezeofor challenged women not to be part of the problems. She also called for continued prayers for God’s restoration to the nation’s fallen state.

# The Commissioner of Police, CP. Ikioye Orutugu has honoured officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
The CP made the presentation during the Command’s Monthly Meeting at the Conference Hall of the Anambra State Police Command Headquarters.
Those honoured include an Inspector who was mistakenly fatally shot by a friendly Force at a Police Observation Point along Onitsha Owerri Expressway by Danaks Fuel Station and 12 others.
The CP presented cheques worth over N8,000,000 (Eight Million Naira) to 13 families of the late Police officers under the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Schemes.
# The governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA), Ozo Jeff Nweke has picked the N50M political campaign license imposed by the Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA).
The MD/CEO, ANSAA, Mr Tony Ujubuonu, who announced the imposed license fees at a press conference two weeks ago had insisted that they would use the relevant laws of the land to prosecute any politician, contestant or political that could dare to display outdoor advertisements without first making the payment.
Nweke, who is among the first set of contestants to pick the license despite faulting it as illegal fee, said that with the latest development his campaign posters, handbills, billboards, branded vehicles and others would be seen across the 326 electoral wards of the Anambra State and beyond.
The security expert and entrepreneur of worth, represented at the occasion by his running-mate, Mr Obi Elvis Anayochukwu and some party members said he was confident of victory on the November 8 gubernatorial which was why he never wanted any person or thing to stop him from reaching out accordingly.
# The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) held its 2025 Batch A Stream II Cultural Carnival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity Camp Umuawulu/Mbaukwu in Awka South LGA.
The event brought together over 250 ethnic groups represented by various platoons of Corps members, showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity.
Organized under the theme of unity in diversity, the carnival featured performances, culinary exhibitions, and fashion displays that highlighted the traditions of different ethnic groups across the country. It served as a platform for Corps members to celebrate their heritage while fostering national cohesion.

# Commissioner for Information Anambra State,Dr Law Mefoh has described Solution Fun City built to international standard as a project aimed at making Awka a leisure park for the Southeast and will contribute to economic development of Anambra State.
Speaking to journalists during official opening of the Fun City, Dr. Mefoh explained that it is a comprehensive and unique leisure park that has major components like family fun centre, amusement and water parks, international country club that aligns with the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo of building a prosperous homeland where people could desire to live, work, learn, relax and enjoy.
The information Commissioner added that it also serves as a place for recreational activities, nothing that the economic endeavour will generate huge revenue for the state government that will be used to establish more of it in Anambra South and North senatorial districts.
# The Instructional Capacity Strengthening Coordinator, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Anselm Nwoke, has extolled the humanitarian intervention of the Justice Development and Peace Caritas (JDPC) Onitsha in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.
JDPC Onitsha is current executing a Flood Risk Reduction and Management in Nigeria project in Ogbaru, managed by CRS with funding from Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP), with initiatives running from August 2024 to November 2025, in 12 flood-affected communities.
The project seeks to lessen the devastating impact of recurrent floods by enhancing disaster preparedness, restoring critical infrastructure, safeguarding lives and livelihoods, and building long-term community resilience.
Nwoke after a field tour of project sites appreciated the human sufferings of the locals, adding that the 5-day field visit was a window into resilience, dignity, and the power of reaching those who are too often left behind.
