# Talk Service Providers Of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter has ended their 2025 summit with a call to support Governor Chukwuma Soludo for second term because of infrastructure projects he brought to the state.
They made the endorsement during the summit which was tagged ‘Event Anchoring In A Developing Economy ‘ where they endorsed Soludo to continue with his salient and excellent works in Anambra State as according to them, they have seen all round development down to the grass roots.
Addressing the gathering, who are also known as masters of ceremonies, Governor Chukwuma Soludo felt elated for the endorsement which he said was because of his efforts in delivering the dividends of democracy and fulfillment of his manifesto to Ndi Anambra assuring that he will do more.
Governor Soludo who spoke through his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, asked them as masters of ceremonies, orators and directors of events to always promote the works of the governor saying that the things people think that are impossible are possible with him describing him as an economic magician.
The convener of the program, Mr Shedrack Nnannah who is also the Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on Events said the reason of the summit was to interact , do something sustainable and register their profession as every member will have identity card and noted that they endorsed the governor for his achievements asking for more.
# The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command (NSCDC), has pledged to strengthen its partnership with the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) to enhance security for custodial facilities across Anambra State.
This assurance was conveyed when Commandant Maku Olatunde, the NSCDC Anambra State Commandant received in audience, the Controller of Corrections Anambra State Command, CCS Ike Anselm on a courtesy visit at the State Command Headquarters Awka.
The Anambra Correctional Service Controller stated that the purpose of his visit was to familiarize himself with NSCDC and to solicit for a sustainable working relationship between the two Services in order to improve internal security in the state.
He expressed gratitude for the warm reception given to him and his team, highlighting the NSCDC as a dependable partner and formidable ally in the shared effort to protect lives and property, particularly in custodial centers.
# Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reaffirm his commitment to transformative governance while rallying party members to secure victories in upcoming elections.
Speaking at the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Expanded Anambra South Summit at the Aguata Secretariat premises, Soludo expressed gratitude to members of the party for their unwavering support.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s focus on delivering transformative governance to elevate Anambra’s development. However, he cautioned the party against complacency, warning that APGA’s dominance should not be taken for granted.
Reflecting on past setbacks, Soludo urged members to avoid repeating mistakes made during the last senatorial elections.
# The twentieth Aguata Diocesan Women’s Conference has ended at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Isulo, Orumba South LGA with the Women Ministry of Aguata Anglican Diocese blaming the recent mass failure of students in the JAMB exam on the decline in the standard of Education in Nigeria, urging the federal government to increase funding to the education sector.
The President of the Women’s Ministry, Mrs. Chinyere Ezeofor who disclosed this while presenting her address to delegates at the conference, decried the trauma the massive JAMB examinations failure caused students and parents as well as the schools, called on the federal government to increase its investment in the education system, to ensure better remuneration to teachers for enhanced teaching and learning across schools in Nigeria.
Mrs. Ezeofor who expressed disgust over the high cost of living in Nigeria, blamed it on poor economic policies of the government and maintained that the poor economic condition of Nigeria has led to the closure of many businesses, in addition to abetting school drop outs and commended the Anambra State government for its free education policy from basic to secondary school across the state.
# The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, has assured community pharmacists of its support, recognizing their role as the most accessible healthcare professionals to the public.
Commandant Maku Olatunde, the NSCDC Anambra State Commandant stated this when he played host to a delegation from the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria, (ACPN )Anambra State Chapter, led by the Chairman, Pharmacist Henry Iloh.
During the visit, held at the NSCDC State Command Headquarters, Awka, Pharmacist Iloh on behalf of the National Chairman, Pharmacist Ambrose Ezeh expressed appreciation to the NSCDC for it’s collaborative efforts with the association in improving access to quality healthcare services and working advancing universal health coverage in the state.
He emphasised the importance of partnership in achieving universal health coverage highlighting the role of community pharmacists in promoting public health and ensuring the availability of quality pharmaceutical services to all residents in the state.
# The Anambra State Police Command, in its continued efforts to combat economic and cyber-related crimes, has arrested two suspected fraudsters involved in the diversion and illegal conversion of cement shipments across Anambra, Edo, Rivers, and Delta States.
The suspects, identified as Mr. Mmaduabuchi Udo and Mr. Abubakar Babangida, were apprehended by operatives of the CP Monitoring Unit on 23rd June 2025 in Abuja, following an intelligence-led investigation.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspects specialized in using social media platforms to profile cement dealers and extract sensitive operational information from unsuspecting victims.
They allegedly leveraged this data to facilitate the diversion of cement consignments intended for legitimate businesses.
# Governor Chukwuma Soludo has commissioned the modern Solution market and bus terminal in Ekwulọbịa, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State.
The facility which features large open space for those who will shop, solar power, canteen, water supply, among others, will house traders and commuters currently doing business around the newly constructed Ekwulọbịa flyover, who will be displaced.
According to Soludo, providing the alternative as well as all his administration’s policies, are part of the APGA mantra of “leave no one behind”, concentrated on the poor and forgotten segments of the society, to give the people minimum pleasure.
While stating that the property belongs to the state government in partnership with the local government for effective and efficient management, he explained that those that will occupy the facilities have been provided and that they will get the shops free of cost.
# The Anambra State Police Command has condemned the indiscriminate shooting incident that resulted in fatal injuries and fatalities to ten persons on the evening of 30th June, 2025, at Ogboji, Orumba South Local Government Area.
The Police has further assured that the Command shall hunt down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Anambra Command, the armed criminals came in two Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) and attacked the gathering of a group unprovokedly, shooting sporadically. The victims were rushed to the Hospital and regrettably, 10 (ten) people were confirmed dead. The bodies have been deposited in the morgue.
The Police led security team has taken over the scene and are working on necessary information to arrest the preparators.
