Voter Registration: Anambra Assembly Speaker Calls For Massive Participation

Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has urged eligible residents of the State to come out in large numbers to register or update their details.

Angel Network News (ANN), Rt. Hon. Udeze noted that the voter registration exercise which ends on 17th July is a veritable opportunity for eligible voters in the 326 electoral wards in the State to obtain their rightful tickets to participate in November 8, 2025 Anambra Governorship election, which he described as an election to consolidate, appreciate and empower Governor Chukwuma Soludo for more exploits in the State.
The Speaker who called on the State lawmakers to embark on intensive sensitization and mobilization of eligible voters in their various constituencies for the continuous voter registration exercise, enjoined his Ogbaru two constituents who do not have voter cards but are eligible to vote, to ensure that they make good use of this opportunity offered by the INEC to obtain their voter cards.
Udeze reasoned that since Governor Soludo has done creditably in transforming all sectors of the State economy as well as improving the living standard of ndi Anambra, the voter registration exercise in the State which is for the coming Anambra governorship election will surely increase the number of voters in the twenty one local government areas that will support the Governor’s reelection.
Rt. Hon. Udeze called on traditional rulers, Presidents-General, political stakeholders, religious bodies and affluent citizens among other authority figures in various communities in the State to see this continuous voter registration exercise as a collective responsibility by contributing meaningfully to its success.
