Anambra State Local Government Service Commission has been honoured with ‘Freenews Gold Star Millennium Excellence Performance Award’.
Presenting the award, the Chairman of FreeNews Magazine, Editorial Board, Mr. Obinna Mbonu said after its findings, Anambra State Local Government Service Commission emerged the best performing.
According to Mbaonu, between January and June 2025, FreeNews Magazine,
published by Obev Industries Limited
(a Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria based mass communication firm),
decided to study the performance of some Nigeria Components States Local Government Service Commission.
“The purpose is to find out the drive and purpose, functions and benefits of its administration.
Mbanu maintained that after FreeNews Magazine findings, the commission has performed its functions beyond the call of duty, objectives, responsibilities and functions under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
He revealed that the commission has domesticated Soludo’s vision and mission across 21 Local Government Area of Anambra by saving the state from evil mechanization of ghost and unqualified workers.
Responding, Chairman of the commission, Chief Vin Ifeanyi Ezeaka said
under his leadership, effective and efficient local government areas reforms
was introduced in order to achieve good service delivery and good governance.
Chief Ezeaka thanked Mr. Obinna Mbonu and other members of the Editorial Board of FreeNews Magazine for the honour bestowed on the commission.
” I feel great and honored because to receive an award means you are being recognized. This is a motivation and we will continue to do our best”.
