Buhari: First Lady Oluremi Tinubu leads governors’ wives, others to Daura for condolence

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu on Saturday, July 19, led wives of various State governors, lawmakers and the vice president’s wife, Hajiya Nana Shettima to Daura, Katsina State.
Mrs Tinubu led the delegates to Daura to condole with Aisha, the wife of Muhammadu Buhari, the late former president of Nigeria and her entire family over the passing of their patriarch.
In a statement released shortly after the visit to Daura, Mrs Tinubu described Buhari as a symbol of integrity.
“Today, I paid a condolence visit to Daura, Katsina State, to commiserate with the beloved widow and family of our dearly departed former President, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
“I was with the wife of the Vice President Hajia Nana Shettima, Wife of the Speaker House of Representatives Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abass, Wife of the Deputy Senate President Hajia Laila Barau, Wives of various State Governors, Wives of Ministers, Wives of Service Chiefs and many other women,” Mrs Tinubu said.
According to Mrs Tinubu, the late former president was an epitome of discipline and was committed to Nigeria.
“President Buhari was not only a statesman but a symbol of integrity, discipline, and devotion to Nigeria. His life was marked by unwavering commitment to nation-building, public service, and the welfare of the common man.
“He served our nation with honour both as a military leader and a democratically elected President,” she noted.
Also condoling with her husband, the current president of the country, Mrs Tinubu prayed to God to grant the late Buhari Al-Jannah Firdaus.
She added, “During the visit, I conveyed the deepest condolences of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the women of the nation to his widow, Her Excellency Hajiya Aisha Buhari, and the entire Buhari family.”
