Anambra Environment Commissioner Urges Nnewi South To Support Soludo’s Re-election Bid 

In a major show of grassroots strength and political unity, the Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Engr. Felix Odimegwu, over the weekend, led a powerful rally in Ezinifite, Nnewi South Local Government Area, to galvanize support for Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s second-term bid.

The event, which brought together a wide spectrum of stakeholders, party leaders, and community members, culminated in a unanimous endorsement of Governor Soludo by the people of Nnewi South LGA.

Speaking at the rally, Commissioner Odimegwu expressed gratitude to attendees for their commitment and turnout. He noted that the overwhelming support demonstrated the people’s readiness to renew their social contract with Governor Soludo.

“Our people have seen and felt the difference in governance. From infrastructural development to education, healthcare, and economic reforms, Governor Soludo has delivered purposeful leadership. We are convinced he is the ideal candidate to lead Anambra to greater heights,” Odimegwu stated.

He called for continued mobilization and grassroots engagement ahead of the elections, assuring that APGA remains committed to inclusive governance and sustainable development across all communities in the state.

In his remarks, the APGA National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa Jr., commended Commissioner Odimegwu for organizing the event, describing it as a strong indication of unity and political awareness among the people of Nnewi South.

“Governor Soludo has redefined governance in Anambra State through landmark reforms and innovative policies. His administration reflects the true vision of APGA, and we are proud to stand with him as he seeks a second term,” Ezeokenwa stated.

The Mayor of Nnewi South LGA, Hon. Van George Ezeogidi (Ijele Utuh), also lauded the governor’s performance, citing infrastructural improvements and enhanced public service delivery across the state.

“Ndi Anambra are blessed with a governor who leads with vision, compassion, and results. We must give him our full support to continue this transformative journey,” he said.

The former member representing Nnewi South in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Sunny Ozobialu remarked the rally as both historic and strategic, and added that it reaffirmed the community’s commitment to the governor’s re-election under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming November 8, 2025 gubernatorial poll.

The rally featured the empowerment of APGA faithful from all wards in Nnewi South and showcased vibrant cultural performances.
