Stakeholders and support groups in Anambra Central Senatorial District has endorsed Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim as consensus candidate in the upcoming November 8th governorship election.

In their separate speeches, the chairman, planning Committee, Chief. Dozie Nwankwo, former aviation minister, Bar. Osita Chidoka, Chief Okey Muo Aroh,
Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Anambra APGA Chiarman, Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye and Dr. Ifeanyi Okoye said their endorsement of Soludo for a second term was based on his performance in office and his broad vision to make Anambra state a destination.
They promised to go back to their wards, mobilise voters and ensure that the governor is re-elected come November 8, 2025.
The Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, read a communique on behalf of the Anambra Central senatorial district, formally endorsing Soludo’s candidacy and affirming the zone’s commitment to upholding the arrangement for fairness, equity and peaceful co-existence.
Expressing his gratitude, Soludo noted that Anambra has come to adopt a zoning formula, which has promoted equity and stability in the state’s politics.
The Governor reiterated his commitment to that zoning formula and promised to hand over to a candidate from Anambra Central after completing his constitutionally allowed two terms.
He insisted that he has no challenger in the November 8, 2025 governorship election in the state, saying that his challengers are only in the race to raise funds.
According to him, anyone working against his second term will just be disrupting the seamless zoning in the state, and delaying the turn of the central zone to take the governorship seat.
Soludo highlighting the achievements of his administration since taking office, pointing out that under successive administrations, Anambra has succeeded in enthroning a political order in its political landscape, with a zoning system in place.
While championing a call for respect for the zoning system, the Governor noted the significant strides made by his government in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, pointing to ongoing projects that will also be laying a solid foundation for Anambra’s future.
The governor announced that his campaign team will be announced in the nearest future
Earlier, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Ibezim echoed the Governor’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among all sectors of the community
The event concluded with conferrment of Chieftaincy title of “Oluatuegwu” on Governor Soludo as well as a call to action for ndị Anambra to participate actively in the upcoming election and ensure that their voices are heard at the polls.
ANN recall similar event in Otuocha, where stakeholders from the Anambra North Senatorial Zone unanimously declared support Soludo’s re-election, saying that his candidacy is a consensus project for the entire state.
