# Governor Chukwuma Soludo has commissions newly renovated health facility in Igbo-Ukwu community and culminating in a spirited rally for his re-election.
During the visit, Soludo’s first stop was the Primary Health Center in Obiuno Igbo-Ukwu, a facility renovated by a family and subsequently handed over to the Anambra State government.
In an inspiring ceremony, Governor Soludo officially renamed the center to “Comprehensive Medical Center” and pledged to send doctor and nurses to the facility to ensure that residents have access to quality healthcare, including free antenatal care and delivery services.
“This center is private-public-community partnership and a testament to what we can achieve together,” he emphasized to the gathered crowd, underscoring the importance of accessible healthcare for the community”. He remarked.
# The wife of Njikoka Local Government Area, Mrs. Pamela Ononiba attended the August meeting of the Angelica Women Association (AWA) held at St. Andrew Anglican Church, Enugwu-Ukwu.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Ononiba emphasized the significance of the “Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo” initiative, spearheaded by the First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo.
The Mayor’s wife highlighted the program’s role in promoting wellness and preventive healthcare among women and families across the state.
Mrs. Ononiba urged the women to actively embrace the healthy living practices advocated by the initiative and to support the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo. She praised the governor’s commitment to transformative governance and the betterment of Anambra State.
# One of Nigeria’s foremost football administrators and stakeholders, Hon. Chinedu Okoye, has publicly applauded the strategic direction, tireless efforts, and future-driven vision of the Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA), under the focused leadership of General Chikelue Iloenyosi.
Hon. Okoye who is the Vice President of Bimo Sports Management Worldwide, Chairman of Bimo Sporting Club, and a former NFF Presidential Aspirant described the current football growth in Anambra as “a new dawn of structured and progressive football development.”
According to Okoye, the administration of General Iloenyosi has injected fresh energy, professionalism, and accountability into the football structure of the state.
# Governor Chukwuma Soludo has
commission a significant infrastructure project: a newly built 4.2-kilometer road that will serve as a vital artery for the Igbo-Ukwu community.
This project, spearheaded by Engr. Dom Okafor, the member representing Aguata federal constituency, is expected to facilitate better transportation and stimulate economic activities in the area.
A rally organized to endorse the candidacy of Governor Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim was also held at the Central School in Igbo-Ukwu.
# Witnesses of the Solution leadership,
converged at Njikoka LGA secretariat in Abagana to pledge their utmost loyalty and support to the reelection bid of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Njikoka LGA, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba represented by Hon. Cyprain Okoye the supervisory Councilor for works in the council, appreciated the commitment of the group, charging them to bear true reflection of their names and take the gospel of the goodworks of the governor into the four corners of state and even beyond.
The State Coordinator of the group Sir. Felix Okechukwu in his speech, calls for dedication and commitment from members of the group, urging them to work on the project as their own.
Okechukwu charge each person to work assidiously to prove both individual and collective capacity as this will give them stakeholders status in the political sphere.
The Vice Chairman Anambra Central zone APGA, Chief Nduka Okoye in his remark, emphasized on the massive impression he got and praise the members for living up to the hype. He promised to sponsor another event in weeks time.
# The Ojoto Akanasato Women have empowered twelve Indigent women with huge sums of money to enable them start up Small and Medium Enterprises SMEs.
The empowerment was given during the Ojoto Akanasato Women 2025 August Meeting which held at Ndiabor Hall Ojoto Obofia, in Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State.
The Ojoto Community Women Leader, Mrs. Anthonia Okonkwo who would be bowing out by May 2026 after four years of leadership, in her address, recounted that during her tenure they paid hospital bills for many people who were discharged but could not pay for their treatment, gave scholarships to many indigent children.

“The youths of Anambra came out in their numbers in a symbolic walk for peace, a collective stance against violent crime. It was not just a march for Fish magnet, it was a show of solidarity with the Nigeria Police and other security agencies, a bold statement to condemn all forms of criminality.

# Governor Chukwuma Soludo has officially confirmed the appointment of Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State.
The formal appointment letter was presented to Omenugha by Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Secretary to the State Government, at a ceremony held at the Light House in Awka.
Professor Omenugha’s confirmation follows her exemplary performance during her tenure as Acting Vice Chancellor, a period characterised by positive institutional changes and visionary leadership that has positioned COOU for greater academic excellence and innovation.
The appointment comes after a rigorous interview process, demonstrating the Governor’s commitment to merit-based appointments and ensuring the university continues to thrive under experienced and capable leadership.
Speaking on the appointment, Governor Soludo emphasised his administration’s dedication to educational excellence and the strategic importance of strong leadership in Anambra State’s institutions of higher learning.
# Anambra Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma has drummed massive support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election in Obosi.
Speaking during his interview, Engr. Okoma lauded Soludo for the giant strides recorded in the state in less than four years.
Okoma maintained that the State has witnessed serious and massive transformation since Governor Soludo took the mantle of leadership.
