Soludo Assures Anambra Corps Members Of Safety, Better Welfare

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has praised
the positive contributions of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members across Anambra communities, describing them as a vital part of the State’s development efforts.

The welfare and security of Corps members topped discussions during the visit led by Anambra State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua.

Governor Soludo while speaking during a courtesy visit by the corps members at the Government House, Awka, recently.
shared personal memories from his own service year in Oyo State between 1984 and 1985, noting how the scheme exposed him to new cultures and traditions.

“The NYSC helped me conquer culture shock. It was in Ife that I first tasted amala, ewedu, and Ikokore. Those experiences shaped my outlook in many ways.”

Soludo assured that his administration would continue to work closely with NYSC to ensure the welfare, security, and productivity of Corps members in Anambra.

The Coordinator Mrs Pauline Ojisua, while presenting key operational needs of the scheme in the State, called for government intervention in critical areas to improve the living and working conditions of Corps members.
