Nimo Solution Re-election Football Tournament Ends As ‘Team Egbengwu’ Emerge Winners

The Nimo Solution Re-election Football Tournament, sponsored by the Chairman of Njikoka Local Government Council, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba, has come to a conclusion with Team Egbengwu emerging victorious over Team Ifiteani with a score of 3-1.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the grand finale, held at Assumption Catholic Church Field, Nimo, attracted
massive crowd of enthusiastic supporters and football fans.
In his remark, the Mayor, Hon. Ononiba said the tournament aimed to promote unity, youth engagement, and grassroots sportsmanship while rallying support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election bid.
The local government boss maintained that the initiative is designed to keep the youths of Njikoka engaged with sporting activities and that the this tournament is a testament to his commitment to youth development and community building.
The Mayor praised both teams for their exceptional sportsmanship, highlighting the true spirit of the tournament. He also pledged to continue backing youth-focused initiatives in the community, emphasizing the importance of providing opportunities for young people to develop their skills and talents.
Barr. Ononiba promised that there will be another tournament in December with a higher prize to be won.
The winners of the tournament, Team Egbengwu, took home a cash prize of ₦400,000, while the runner-up, Team Ifiteani, received ₦300,000. The third-place team received ₦200,000, and the fourth-place team received ₦100,000.
