Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci is embarking on another ambitious adventure, this time aiming to set a Guinness World Record for the largest pot of jollof rice.

Known for her global rise to fame in 2023 after breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon, Hilda is now preparing to cook a staggering 250 bags of rice in one monumental pot.

The highly anticipated event is taking place at Eko Hotels in Lagos, relocated from its original venue at Muri Okunola Park due to overwhelming public interest, with over 20,000 people registering to attend.

Fans and supporters are gathering in droves to witness this historic culinary milestone.

Ahead of the attempt, Hilda shared a touching moment with her mother, praying together for strength, protection, and endurance.

The emotional scene resonated with many, who view her mother as a steadfast source of inspiration in her journey.

Hilda also kept things lighthearted on social media, sharing a playful update: “Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. In just a few hours, this same pot will carry thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making.”
