A powerful explosion rocked the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) facility in Kaduna’s Kakuri Industrial Layout on Saturday, leaving one person dead and several others injured.
The blast, which resonated across parts of the city, including Chikun and Kaduna South local government areas, caused widespread alarm.
Eyewitnesses described the explosion as severe, with its impact felt far beyond the immediate vicinity.
Injured victims were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals, including the Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna, for treatment.
