President Tinubu makes fresh appointments

President Bola Tinubu has appointed new heads for three key federal agencies, reflecting his administration’s commitment to strengthening national institutions and accelerating development.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
Among the new appointees is Bello Bawa Bwari from Niger State, who has been named the Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA).
His appointment, which takes effect from September 18, 2025, will run for an initial four-year term in line with the provisions of the National Biosafety Management Agency Act, 2015.
Also appointed was Hon. Barr. Aminu Junaidu from Zamfara State as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Investment and Security Tribunal for a five-year tenure, effective September 18, 2025.
Similarly, Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan was confirmed as the Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation for an initial four-year term, effective September 2, 2025.
These appointments underscore President Tinubu’s resolve to reposition strategic institutions and drive national progress.
The new appointees are expected to leverage their expertise to advance the growth and development of their agencies, contributing to the nation’s overall development.
