Moghalu Celebrates Innoson Boss, Chief Innocent Chukwuma At 65

(DDM) – Labour Party Governorship Candidate in the forthcoming Anambra election, Chief Dr. George Moghalu (Ohamadike Nnewi), has congratulated Chief Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma, Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
In a goodwill message made available by his Special Assistant on Media, Johnson Okoye, Moghalu joined family, friends, and associates in celebrating the milestone of what he described as “a distinguished son of Nnewi, a national asset, and one of the most innovative entrepreneurs Nigeria has produced.”
Moghalu lauded Chukwuma for his entrepreneurial vision and resilience, noting that his establishment of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing marked a turning point in Nigeria’s industrial history.
According to him, the company not only placed Nnewi on the global industrial map but also advanced the nation’s long-standing pursuit of technological growth, self-reliance, and economic independence.
“Chief Innocent Chukwuma is more than a businessman,” Moghalu said.
“He represents a philosophy of innovation, courage, and determination that continues to inspire millions across Nigeria and Africa.”
The Labour Party candidate further stressed that through IVM, Chukwuma has created thousands of jobs, promoted local content in manufacturing, and proved that Nigerians can compete globally in the automobile sector.
Moghalu also highlighted Chukwuma’s philanthropic gestures, particularly his commitment to education, healthcare, and youth empowerment within Anambra and beyond.
“As he marks this new chapter, I celebrate not only his personal achievements but also his outstanding contributions to community development and national progress,” he stated.
“It is my earnest prayer that the Almighty God will continue to grant him sound health, divine wisdom, and many more fruitful years of service to humanity.”
Chief Innocent Chukwuma, fondly called Innoson, was born in Umudim, Nnewi, Anambra State, in 1961.
He began his career as a spare parts dealer before venturing into motorcycle assembly, a business that quickly grew and laid the foundation for the establishment of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing in 2007.
Since then, IVM has grown into Nigeria’s first indigenous motor vehicle manufacturing company, producing cars, buses, and SUVs for both domestic and regional markets.
Industry observers say his success has made him a symbol of homegrown innovation and a source of pride not only for Nnewi but for Nigeria as a whole.
Beyond his industrial accomplishments, Chukwuma has received multiple awards for entrepreneurship, national development, and philanthropy.
He remains a role model for Nigerian youths seeking to succeed through creativity, hard work, and integrity.
As birthday messages continue to pour in, stakeholders across Anambra and the wider Nigerian business community have described him as a trailblazer whose life and work embody resilience and excellence.
Moghalu, in his message, emphasized that Anambra needs leaders and visionaries like Chukwuma to drive sustainable growth and restore the state to its rightful place in Nigeria’s development landscape.
He concluded by urging Ndi Anambra to draw inspiration from Chukwuma’s life, reminding them that “with vision, integrity, and perseverance, our state and our people can achieve greatness.”
