The Mayor of Idemili South local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi has flagged-off the construction of 1.3 kilometres of Umuegbu-Ukpaka Ndam Nnobi road.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the road was attracted by Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi through Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP), and facilitated by a business mogul, Chief Emeka Agbanari (Seaman Group).
Speaking during the flag-off, Hon. Obi re-emphasised the need for the participation of the private sector in the development of the council area and Anambra State.
The Mayor, who was full of praises for Chief Emeka Agbanari for touching lives of his people, appealed more people to embrace Public Private Community Partnership as government alone cannot meet all the needs of the different communities.
While congratulating the people of Nnobi for having such a kind hearted man, she expressed joy that the road will be completed in few months. She further urged residents of Nnobi community to cooperate with CEDCON Construction Company led by Engr. Denis Safe Adjarho.
