A young Nigerian woman, Adeife Adeoya, has sparked conversations online after sharing an emotional video about the challenges of running a business.

In the viral clip posted on TikTok, she broke down in tears as she expressed frustration over an employee’s unexpected resignation.

Adeife, the founder of Remote WorkHer, an organization that supports women working remotely, revealed that she initially started the platform as a passion project before turning it into a business.

Over time, she worked on expanding her brand, implementing strategies, and collaborating with consultants to refine operations.

However, she was left heatrbroken when her community manager, who handled her online platform, suddenly resigned without prior notice.

In the video, she admitted feeling overwhelmed and unsure of her next steps. Despite making efforts to improve employee satisfaction, including salary increases, Adeife lamented that her workers continued to leave.

Captioning her post, she wrote:

“I hate it here. I’m tired of owning a business. God help me. I’m sorry for crying. Business owners, please help. How did you navigate this?”
