The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has returned to Nigeria following a productive official visit to Milan, Italy. According to his media aide, Lere Olayinka, the minister engaged with Italian investors and institutions interested in exploring opportunities within Nigeria’s capital, particularly in agriculture and skills development. Discussions centered on attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to boost agricultural productivity, support agro-processing initiatives, and develop technical and vocational education programs for FCT residents.
Wike emphasized the commitment of the FCT Administration to creating a conducive environment for investment, highlighting Abuja’s potential as a hub for innovation, food production, and skilled manpower.
The Lombardy Region, known for its advanced agricultural and vocational training systems, expressed readiness to collaborate with Nigeria on mutually beneficial projects.
