Real Madrid is reportedly exploring a captivating swap deal that could see Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez heading to Spain this summer. The Argentine midfielder is believed to be “very interested” in a potential move to the prestigious La Liga club.
Chelsea made headlines when they shattered the British transfer record by acquiring Fernandez for a staggering €121 million on deadline day in January 2023.
Although he initially faced challenges living up to that hefty price tag, the 24-year-old’s form has improved significantly this season, as he has tallied five assists and four goals in the Premier League.
Fernandez has cemented his role as a key player under manager Enzo Maresca, with a contract that extends for another seven years, leaving Chelsea in a strong position to retain their star asset. There is little incentive for the London club to entertain offers for Fernandez, particularly at a reduced price.

Tchouameni, who joined Real Madrid from Monaco for €80 million in 2022, has been an important part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, primarily featuring at center-back this season due to injury issues.
With Real seeking another midfielder with Fernandez’s qualities, Tchouameni might face a struggle to reclaim his preferred position, prompting him to reconsider his future.
Chelsea is currently open to reshaping their midfield, with potential departures on the horizon for players like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and the injury-prone Romeo Lavia.
