African Dubai-Taiwan Will Be More Visible After Soludo’s 8 Years : Market Chairman

The Chairman of Idemili Relief Market popularly known as Nkpor Main Market, Chief Paul Okafor has assured Ndi Anambra that with the rate of massive development across all sectors of the state by the present administration, the African Dubai Taiwan vision for Anambra State will be visible and actualized after Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s eight Years in office as Governor.

Addressing newsmen in his office at Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, the market leader said that Prof Chukwuma Soludo deserves more accolades for doing much with less.

According to Okafor, “Governor Soludo is leading us to the promised land. Despite the hardship experienced all over the country Soludo is amazing. He has good management, accountability, not wasteful with the available resources. He has broken records. He has done in three years what some governors could not achieve in 8 years.

“The roads infrastructure, security, health sector, education sector have all been reflecting development. If you don’t see, you hear. Governor needs more accolades. All these transformative achievements were done without borrowing a dime from anywhere.

“So, by the time Soludo returns for the second tenure, the African Dubai Taiwan he promised us will be more visible. Nobody is complaining about tax payment because everyone can see the people’s money at work.’

Chief Okafor also eulogized the Governor’s wife, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo for complementing the vision and good policies of His Excellency urging her to visit the Nkpor market.

“Her Excellency should visit our market to assist our market women. Nkpor main market has the largest number of women in Anambra State with about 97 percent of its population as women.

“We will appreciate if the state government should help us by assisting our women with soft loans. Some of these women which include widows are not doing business with up to 100,000 naira. So, they need empowerment.

“They also need to be engaged periodically with seminars on entrepreneurship and how to access loans or grants without much interest or collateral,” the market Chairman pleaded.
