Anambra: 1,533 Corps Members Of 2024 Batch B Stream 2, Conclude National Service

…Nine Corps members were placed on disciplinary extension of service

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra State has successfully concluded the passing out ceremony for 1,533 Corps members of the 2024 Batch B Stream 2, marking the end of their one-year mandatory national service.

According to official records, the batch comprised 663 male and 870 female Corps members.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that a total of 1,496 Corps members were issued the Certificate of National Service (CNS), the highest symbol of NYSC completion. However, nine Corps members were placed on disciplinary extension of service due to various infractions committed during the service year.

The passing out ceremony, held in a low-key format across all 21 local government areas of the state, featured the issuance of CNS at designated collection points. The decentralized approach aimed to ensure efficiency, reduce congestion, and maintain order across the state.

Highlighting excellence among the corps members, the NYSC Anambra State Secretariat presented special awards and commendations to a select group of Corps members who distinguished themselves through outstanding performance, dedication, and community impact.

Egbeniyi Temitope Oluwaferanmi (AN/24B/2813), Omotosho Michael Kayode (AN/24B/2474), Airadion Friday Afehomo (AN/24B/2430), Ajibola Timilehin Pelumi (AN/24B/2483), Yakubu Moses (AN/24B/2807) received commendation certificate.
and Ani Chidimma Abigail (AN/24B/2101).

Commendation letters were awarded to:
Obumneme Adaobi Precious (AN/24B/3281), Dennis Joy Peace (AN/24B/2641),
Ifeoma Oriji Philomina (AN/24B/1988) and Odubena Elizabeth (AN/25B/2901)

Corps members who received Honours Awards are: Yakubu Moses (AN/24B/2807) and Ani Chidimma Abigail (AN/24B/2101)

The State Coordinator, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua, in her remarks congratulated all outgoing Corps members for their discipline, resilience, and contributions to community development during their service year. She encouraged them to remain patriotic ambassadors of the scheme and to apply the skills and values gained during service as they step into the next chapter of their lives.

“The NYSC remains committed to youth development, national integration, and empowering young Nigerians to become catalysts for positive change across the country.” Ojisua stated.
