Anambra 2025 Guber: YPP Intensifies Grassroot Campaign

The Young Progressives Party (YPP), have intensified grassroots campaign with several engagements of various segments of the society, across party lines.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the YPP Deputy Governorship candidate, Uzu Okagbue while speaking in a meeting with former Anambra State Executive Council members who served during the tenure of the former governor, Mr. Peter Obi, between 2006 and 2014, acknowledged the relevance of the group, stating that the success of a leader is tied to the leader’s team.
This, Okagbue said, has placed onerous responsibilities on the former members of the Anambra Executive Council to actively rewrite the leadership trajectory in the State while they still can.
The meeting which was held in Awka-Etiti, at the home of Chief Joe-Martins Uzodike, has been described by Uzu Okagbue as an” impactful engagement” steep in “deep thought, clarity of vision, institutional memory, and shared commitment to Anambra’s progress.”
Prominent members of Peter Obi’s administration team members like Chief Joe-Martins Uzodike, Obi’s Chief of Staff, Prof. Stella Okunna, Commissioner for Works, Architect Callistus Ilozumba, Barr Chukwuebuka Okoli-Akirika, Dr. Ego Uzoezie, among others, were present and engaged Mr. Okagbue, who responded to their questions.
Some key members of the Obi’s team also commended the candidate of the YPP, Sir Paul Chukwuma and Uzu Okagbue, reiterating that the combination is a solid team that can set Anambra on the right trajectory.
Uzodike emphasized that it is important to observe that the election is not over and that anyone overlooking the YPP ticket does so at a huge political risk.
Similarly, the YPP team also met with a notable community leader in Ihiala LGA, Nze Chimezie Ikebuaso, excited by the promise of viable leadership in Anambra State with the YPP, pledged to fully work for the YPP in Ihiala LGA during the November 8 Anambra State Governorship Polls.
With a campaign message anchored on the phrase; “Anambra Deserves Better” and followed by a message of hope that “Joy is Coming,” the YPP has set itself up as a viable opposition to APGA’s dominance of the Anambra State Governorship Election in over two decades.
