Anambra Assembly Committee On Works And Infrastructure Inspects Dualization of Nnewi-Ozubulu Road

Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has conducted an inspection of the ongoing dualization of the Nnewi-Ozubulu road, a project aimed at enhancing road infrastructure and easing traffic within the region.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports House Committee Chairman on Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Emma Nwafor while speaking during the inspection said the inspection aimed to assess the progress, quality, and challenges associated with the road dualization project, which has been a concern for residents and commuters in the area.

Engr. Nwafor maintained that the road is critical in boosting economic activities and improving connectivity within the industrial city of Nnewi and its neighboring communities.

The Committee Chairman noted that they were at the site to ensure that the work being done meets the quality and expectations of their people and aligns with the vision of the Anambra State Government for robust infrastructure development.

On his part, the Minority Leader, Hon. Johnbosco Akaegbobi, said he is pleased with the level of work done so far, but urged the contractor to maintain the quality and ensure the project is delivered on schedule, adding that the road is vital for the economic growth of the State,

The Project Engineer, Mr Ola Kings provided detailed briefings on the scope of work, which includes road expansion, drainage systems, assuring to deliver at the record time.
