Anambra First Lady Nonye Soludo Wins Humanitarian Award for Healthcare, Child Support

Dr. Nonye Soludo, the First Lady of Anambra State, has been honoured with the 2025 “First Lady of the Year (Healthcare & Child Support)” award at the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine.

The accolade, presented by the Humanitarian Achievement and Outreach Foundation, followed a nationwide nomination and public voting process that saw thousands cast their votes in her favour, highlighting the widespread recognition of her impactful work.

In announcing the award, Emmanuel Anabueze, Founder and Convener of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards, praised Dr. Soludo’s leadership and dedicated hands-on approach. He stated:

“Her dedication to fostering healthier families and empowering women with practical, sustainable tools for well-being has earned her national respect…”

The award celebrates her flagship initiative, “Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo”, which promotes community health awareness, nutrition education, maternal and child care, and support for underserved families across both rural and urban areas of Anambra State.

Dr. Soludo will be officially honoured at the awards ceremony held tonight at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja, alongside other distinguished leaders and changemakers recognised for their contributions to Nigeria’s humanitarian advancement
