Anambra Governorship Aspirant Pledges Key Roles For Women If Elected

A leading aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in the November 8 Anambra governorship election, Sir Paul Chukwuma has assured women of key roles in his administration if elected, aligning his vision with the 2025 International Women’s Day theme, “Inspire Inclusion.”

In a statement issued to mark the occasion, Sir. Chukwuma emphasised women’s critical contributions to society and governance, promising policies that will empower and uplift them while fostering an inclusive government.

“Anambra women are the backbone of our communities, and their contributions to our economy, governance, and family life cannot be overstated,” the statement read.

“If elected governor, I will ensure that women occupy key positions in my administration, not just as a token gesture, but as a reflection of their immense capabilities. We must inspire inclusion by breaking barriers and creating equal opportunities.”

Chukwuma further pledged to implement policies that promote women’s economic empowerment, enhance maternal and child healthcare, and support the education of the girl child, stressing that proper development can only be achieved through inclusive governance.

“My government will prioritise access to credit facilities for female entrepreneurs, create skill development programs tailored for women, and enforce gender-inclusive governance,” he added.

“By inspiring inclusion, we will ensure that women’s voices are not just heard but actively shape the future of Anambra State.”

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Chukwuma, widely favoured to clinch the APC ticket in the April 5 primary election, has engaged various stakeholders, including women’s groups, in his campaign strategy.

The governorship aspirant called on women across the state to remain active participants in the political process, assuring them of a government that recognises and amplifies their voices.
