The Majority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme has been honoured with ‘Ambassador Of Democracy And Good Governance’ award.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Hon. Ofodeme who is the lawmaker representing Ekwusigo constituency, received the award in his office on Thursday from Freenews Magazine, published by Obev Industries Limited (a Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria based mass communication firm).
Speaking during the presentation of the awards, the chairman of FreeNews
Magazine Editorial Board, Mr. Obinna Mbonu described Hon. Ofodeme as a petrotic, peaceful and progressive minded Nigeria who have been serving ndi Ekwusigo selflessly.
” You are always interested in what will benefit all human, irrespective of social status.
” Whenever the successful story of the impact of the 8th Anambra Assembly is written, discussed, analyzed or debated, the name ‘Ofodeme’ will always stand tall.
” Your good performance as a legislature in Anambra Assembly is a common knowledge to all. Your legislative impact since your emergency as a lawmaker has been a blessing to your constituents’. Mbonu declared.
Responding after receiving the award, Hon. Ofodeme thanked Mr. Obinna Mbonu and other members of the Editorial Board of FreeNews Magazine for the honour bestowed on him.
“This award shows that everything am doing is been monitored. Its a motivation and a call to do more.
“The 8th Assembly will continue to support the executive and the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
” Over thirty laws has been passed as as lawmakers, we will monitor and ensure that they are been implemented’. Ofodeme assured.
