Anambra NUJ Chairman ‘Odogwu’ Buries Father In Amanuke

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra State Council, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD, on Friday September 5th 2025 buried his father Late Chief Samuel Agunwa Odogwu, who died at 86 age.
During the funeral service held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church Amanuke in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State in honour of the deceased, the Archdeacon of Urum Archdeaconry, Venerable Dr Reuben Okafor, reminded all that when the book of life is opened, all shall be judged by what has been recorded for each person.
Dr. Okafor commended the Odogwu family for celebrating their father while he was alive, describing the deceased as a man of discipline and integrity.
Addressing all who joined in bidding their farewell on the journey to eternity, Dr Odogwu, who paid glowing tribute to their father, expressed fulfillment that his father was celebrated alive at the age of 80 as he wished.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the funeral attracted former Governor of Anambra State and Labor Party Presidential candidate in the last general elections, Mr Peter Obi, ADC Deputy Governorship candidate for the November 8 Anambra Governorship election, Sir Ndubisi Nwobu, APC Governorship aspirant for the said election, Dr Cal Ozigbo, Managing Director of the ABS, Mr Chris Molokwu, and Chief Emma Okenna.
Also in attendance were members of NUJ, Nigeria Labor Congress, (NLC), Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, (NIPR), members of ASUU – UNIZIK Awka, Alumni Association of Federal Polytechnic Oko, among others.
