Anambra: NYSC Members Urged To Embrace Financial Literacy

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the SAED Director admonished Corps members during his keynote address at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity Permanent Orientation Camp, Awka South LGA

“Understanding how money works is non-negotiable for achieving true financial freedom.

“This initiative is your toolkit to build that future. Maximise every programme offered, especially financial literacy and entrepreneurship, to take charge of your destiny.”

The sweeping SAED initiative, according to the Director includes: Mandatory Financial Literacy Training: Covering essential budgeting, saving, and investing skills.

“0% Interest Startup Loans: Eliminating capital barriers for young entrepreneurs.

“Business Development Support: Practical training in business planning and cash flow analysis.

“Global Outsourcing Pathways: NYSC-facilitated remote work opportunities with international clients.

Aremu revealed that 531 Corps members have already launched successful businesses through pilot phases, proving the model’s viability. He stressed the program combats financial stress while building long-term security and self-sufficiency.

NYSC Anambra State Coordinator, Pauline Ojisua in an address, noted that SAED’s critical role in transitioning youth “from service to self-sufficiency.”
