Zeus Sports and Entertainment Consultant Limited in partnership with Anambra State Government is finalizing its plans to host WBF World Title Boxing Fight.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the event which is scheduled to hold on October 26 and 27 2025, at the Solution Fun City Awka, will feature Taiwo Agbaja of Nigeria vs Thomas Mason from France.
Speaking in Awka on Thursday in a press conference with Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Anambra State Chapter, Mr. Emmanuel Emenogu a boxing promoter revealed that the world title fight tagged ‘Solution Bout’ will also feature the return of Ike Ibeabuchi (Nigeria) vs Josh Pretorius (South Africa), King Davidson vs Sumit, James Bryan Wild vs Ridwan Oyekola, Cynthia Ogunsemitore vs Hagar Elsayec, as well as other boxers from international scene.
” The bout will be a live broadcast in Africa, India and Europe with tape relayed to over 125 millions homes in USA. It will also be streamlive on the internet and syndicated worldwide as feasible.
“This event aims to showcase the newest and biggest game city in Africa called ‘Solution Fun City’ and also appreciate the transformation Governor Chukwuma Soludo has brought to Anambra and also promote and enhance sustainability on tourism Already built in the state.
” The boxing event will serve as a catalyst to discover and enhence hidden boxing talents in local areas across the state, which will equally see training of discovered talents who will be exposed to becoming professional boxers and next world champions from Anambra in the next future.
” The WBF World Title Boxing Fight when hosted in Anambra State will draw global attention to the state, create economic opportunity and promote youth engagement through sports.
” The event will attract music stars including Timaya, Davido, Dandizzy, Flavour, KeeCee Anyidons and I Go Die.
“Football stars such as Emmanuel Adebayo, Samuel Eto, Emmanuel Babayaro, Asamoag Gyan, Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo, Daniel Amokachi amongst others will be in attendance’. Emenogu disclosed.
Also speaking, a sports administrator, Hon. Odira Eze said Anambra was chosen because of the narrative that the Southeast is not safe.
“We want to make a mark by showcasing how hospitable and the investment made by Governor Soludo and appreciate the worldclass facility in Anambra State.
Hon. Odira who is the project coordinator maintained that the ‘Solution Fun City’ is the best place to host the event.
“The biggest world glove will soon be presented to the Governor who is the Chief host, which he will unvail and endorse. This event will be the first of its kind in Nigeria”. Odira declared.
