Association Of People Living With Sickle Cell To Honour Departed Colleagues In Anambra

Arrangements have been concluded to honour the departed members of the Association of People Living with Sickle Cell Disorder, (APLSD), in Anambra State, to mark the 2025 World Sickle Cell Day in the state.
The annual event will be held at Sickle Cell Orphanage and Underprivileged Home, Agulu in Anaocha LGA, Anambra State.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the National Coordinator, APLSD, Mrs Aisha Edward Maduagwu, disclosed this in a release issued to the press in Awka.
According to the release, the agenda of the event, which will take place on Thursday 19th June, will centre on the commendable economic support received from the Anambra State government towards improving the lives of indigent and vulnerable sickle cell persons.
‘Also, the ceremony will serve as a memorial to honour our departed members for the past three years,’ it said, among others.
The release is inviting the general public to the epoch-making event, and appealing to public spirited individuals and the affluent to come to support the event and the association.
