In a groundbreaking move, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has appointed Mr. Li Zhensheng, a Chinese national, as the state’s Economic Adviser. The announcement also coincided with the signing of a strategic cooperation memorandum with China.
This marks the first time a Nigerian state has formally engaged a Chinese expert in such a role—a clear signal of deepening economic and diplomatic ties between Bauchi State and Chinese stakeholders.
The appointment is expected to bolster Bauchi’s developmental agenda by tapping into Li’s expertise and leveraging China’s expanding cooperative footprint in Africa’s economy.
