Bayern Munich to scupper Amorim’s plans to reunite with Viktor Gyokeres

Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim could be denied his wish to reunite with Viktor Gyokeres who might end up at Bayern Munich.
The Sweden international has been absolutely unstoppable since joining Sporting CP in 2023. This season, has already contributed with 37 goals and nine assists in his 39 appearances across all competitions.
So with Man Utd desperate for a new striker who can tend to their needs upfront and replace the disappointing Rasmus Hojlund, Gyokeres emerged as a natural solution due to his connection with Amorim.
But the issue for the Red Devils is that the 26-year-old’s exploits have also attracted a host of other suitors who are equally interested in his services.
In his latest column for The Daily Briefing, renowned German journalist Christian Falk confirmed Bayern Munich’s interest in the Swedish bomber.
Christian Falk reveals Bayern Munich’s desire to beat Man Utd for Viktor Gyokeres

As the source explains, the Bavarians aren’t seeking a replacement for Harry Kane, as the latter remains very much in their plans despite recent exit talks, but merely a new striker who can relieve some of the pressure off the England captain who lacks an understudy.
“Bayern Munich remain interested in Viktor Gyokeres. Bayern doesn’t have so much money at the moment for transfers, but they know they need a substitute for Harry Kane,” explained Falk.
“They’ve only got one striker and no one really knows if Thomas Muller will be playing next season. So, one striker wouldn’t be enough, which is why they have a list. Gyokeres is on the list, as is Benjamin Sesko.”
Missing out on Gyokeres could be a painful blow for Amorim, but United have also been linked with several other profiles for the same role, including Victor Osimhen who will be on Napoli’s transfer list for the second year in a row, and has a release clause worth circa £62 million.
