Big boost for Man United as Amad Diallo expected to be ‘back soon’

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will soon be reunited with another key player, as Amad Diallo is expected to return to training soon.
The Red Devils have already received a major boost on Thursday, with Kobbie Mainoo returning to train with his teammates after almost two months on the sidelines. It remains to be seen if the England international will be able to take part in Thursday’s Europa League clash against Lyon.
While the 19-year-old was spotted training at Carrington with a new haircut, there was no sign of Amad in the group just yet. However, this shouldn’t come as a surprise, as the Ivorian had suffered what was described as a serious ankle injury, with many suggesting he would miss the remainder of the campaign.
Amad Diallo expected to rejoin Man Utd’s ranks ‘soon’

Nevertheless, there had been some positive developments on this track in recent weeks, as the winger has been reportedly burning stages in his recovery process as he looks to regain his optimal fitness for the final stages of the campaign.
So according to Man Utd insider Sully, the 22-year-old will be ‘back soon’. The journalist posted this update on his X account, while arguing in favour of Mainoo’s new hairstyle.

Prior to his injury, Diallo was arguably United’s most decisive player since Ruben Amorim’s arrival. The former Atalanta man had struggled for playing time under the guidance of Erik ten Hag who favoured his old Ajax ally, Antony, but Amorim immediately entrusted Amad with a key role, and the latter obliged with brilliant displays, especially against Man City and Liverpool.
Man Utd legend Rio Ferdinand hailed the winger’s ‘brilliance’, insisting he should be one of the first names on the manager’s team sheet.
The Abidjan native has contributed with nine goals and eight assists across all competitions this season.
