The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is gradually going into extinction as the Governor of Delta State, Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori, has officially defected from the party to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
News Band understand that he defected to the APC following a high-level meeting at the Government House in Asaba on Wednesday.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori move to the All Progressive Congress was confirmed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.
Festus said the decision by his principal was made after “wide consultations with political stakeholders and in the interest of Delta’s long-term development.”
