Bruno Fernandes was born on September 8, 1994, in Maia, Portugal. Fernandes started his youth career at the local club, Infesta, before moving on to Boavista and then to Pasteleira. Despite his early success in football, Fernandes also excelled academically, and he studied at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Porto while pursuing his football career.
Club Career
Fernandes started his professional career at Novara Calcio in Italy before moving back to Portugal to play for Udinese. He then played for Sampdoria before returning to Portugal to play for Sporting CP in 2017.
At Sporting CP, Fernandes quickly became one of the team’s most important players and helped them win the Taça de Portugal in the 2018-19 season. He was also named the Primeira Liga’s player of the year in the same season.
