CP Orutugu Receives Executives Of Police Campaign Against Cultism And Other Vices

The Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu has received the Zonal and New Executives of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices.

CP Orutugu while speaking during the visit at his office in the Police Command Headquarters, Awka, charged the members to redouble their efforts in sustaining advocacy to discourage the teeming youths in the State from joining bad groups.
He also pledged to support the Campaign as his administration is already in contact with relevant agencies in the State to roll out initiatives that would instill values, morals and character traits among the youths.
During the interactions, the leader of the delegate, the National Director, Contact and Strategic Communications, Engr. Humphrey C. Nsofor, alongside the South East Zonal Chairman, Chief Okolie Amaechi Sadiq, the New Chairman of POCACOV Anambra State, Hon. Kingsley Ezika, and other key members stated that the visit is to foster partnership and synergy between POCACOV and the Anambra State Police Command.
“The visit further aims to work out plans to establish cultism-free communities in Anambra State, a menace that has cost the State significantly in both resources and security.
“POCACOV is an approach that involves community-oriented policing, which emphasizes collaborative engagement with communities to prevent cultism. The organization has introduced innovative strategies, including school and community outreach programs, partnerships with youth organizations, and media campaigns to spread its message and effect change in tackling crime and social vices, particularly among young people”. the executives stated.
