Dr. Uche Ogah Launches Empowerment Program for 850 Women per LGA in Abia
In a strategic move to reduce poverty and foster wealth creation, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, President of Masters Energy Oil and Gas and former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, has initiated an empowerment program targeting 850 women in each of the 17 local government areas (LGAs) of Abia State.
The initiative, which began with Osisioma Ngwa LGA as the pilot location, focuses on equipping women with practical skills such as soap, cream, detergent production, and cooking essentials. Participants will not only receive hands-on training but also financial support to launch their own small businesses, enabling them to achieve economic independence.
Dr. Ogah, known for his philanthropic efforts, reiterated his commitment to tackling poverty: “I hate poverty.” His ongoing empowerment projects have positively impacted many families across the state.
The program coordinator emphasized the goal of financial independence for women in the state, saying, “After completing the initiative across all 17 local governments, our women will have no reason not to be self-reliant.”
Women interested in participating are encouraged to contact the Women Coordinators of the Abia Rejoice Movement in their respective LGAs to enroll in the program.
With this latest initiative, Dr. Ogah continues to demonstrate his dedication to grassroots development and economic empowerment, further solidifying his legacy in community service and poverty alleviation.
