Drama as UNGA Delegates Walk Out on Netanyahu Over Fiery Gaza War Speech

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced a dramatic walkout at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday as dozens of delegates left their seats when he approached the podium.
Despite the protest, Netanyahu delivered a fiery speech, insisting Israel will not stop its military campaign in Gaza until Hamas is completely destroyed. “We’re not done yet,” he declared.
“The final remnants of Hamas are holed up in Gaza City. They vow to repeat the atrocities of October 7 again and again, no matter how diminished their forces. That is why Israel must finish the job, and we want to do so as fast as possible.”
Hours before his address, his office announced the speech would be broadcast via loudspeakers along the Gaza border.
Netanyahu read messages in Hebrew and English to the 20 hostages still believed to be alive.
“We have not forgotten you, not even for a second. We will not falter, and we will not rest until we bring all of you home,” he said.
The prime minister also issued a direct warning to Hamas leaders.
“Lay down your arms, free all the hostages. If you do, you will live. If you don’t, Israel will hunt you down,” he declared.
Holding up a map of regional threats connected to Iran, Netanyahu listed Israel’s recent military operations.
“Over the past year, we’ve hammered the Houthis.
We crushed the bulk of Hamas’s terror machine.
We crippled Hezbollah, taking out most of its leaders and much of its arsenal. Thousands of terrorists dropped to the ground,” he claimed.
He praised former U.S. President Donald Trump, revealing that joint efforts in June had struck Iranian nuclear sites.
“President Trump and I promised to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, and we delivered on that promise,” Netanyahu said, adding that a “dark cloud” over the world had been lifted.
Netanyahu also criticized countries that recognized an independent Palestinian state during the summit.
“When the most savage terrorists on Earth are praising your decision, you did something wrong horribly wrong,” he said. “It will be a mark of shame on all of you.”
Outside the UN headquarters in New York, protests intensified.
Families of hostages held in Gaza demanded urgent action to secure their release, accusing Netanyahu of prioritizing war over their loved ones’ lives.
The speech underlined deep divisions in the international community over Israel’s ongoing campaign in Gaza. While some leaders stood with Netanyahu, others condemned the war and voiced support for Palestinian statehood, amplifying global pressure on Israel’s leadership.
