Abuja, April 24, 2025 — The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended 13 alleged internet fraudsters during a targeted operation in Kubwa, Abuja. Acting on actionable intelligence, the Abuja Zonal Directorate conducted the raid to address rising cybercrime threats in Nigeria’s capital.
Authorities executed the crackdown on Thursday, reaffirming the EFCC’s resolve to combat digital fraud and secure Nigeria’s online ecosystem. During the operation, investigators seized critical evidence, including three laptops, 17 mobile phones, and two vehicles tied to illicit activities.
Furthermore, the Commission confirmed that rigorous investigations are ongoing to uncover the suspects’ criminal networks and methodologies. Once completed, prosecutors will file charges and arraign the individuals in court to ensure accountability.
