EFCC secures court order to detain Sujimoto CEO over ₦5.7bn abandoned Enugu projects

(DDM) – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled a grassroots mobilisation strategy aimed at removing President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

DDM gathered that the party’s National Secretary, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration in Lagos on Saturday, stressing that ADC was ready to capture both the presidency and Lagos State.

The announcement came during a high-profile event where Hon. Moshood Salvador, leader of the Conscience Forum of the Labour Party (LP), formally decamped with his members to the ADC.

The gathering also marked the 25th anniversary of the Conscience Forum, drawing leaders and supporters from across Lagos’s 20 local governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

Addressing the defectors, Aregbesola, a former governor of Osun State and ex-minister, said the ADC had the structure and commitment to secure nationwide dominance.

He pledged that the party would not only produce Nigeria’s next president but also unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos.

According to him, victory in 2027 would be achieved through a simple multiplication model called “operation ten over ten.”

Under the plan, each ADC member is tasked with recruiting ten new members, who in turn must recruit ten more each.

Aregbesola argued that once the formula is implemented across Nigeria, it would deliver overwhelming numbers capable of dislodging Tinubu and the APC.

He described the Conscience Forum as an asset to the ADC, praising its leadership and organisational strength.

He maintained that the decision of the group to declare for the ADC was a clear sign that opposition realignment had begun in earnest.

Salvador, in his remarks, said the Labour Party’s internal crisis had exposed its weaknesses and proved it was not built for Nigeria’s political future.

He argued that the ADC, now strengthened by coalition backing, represented a credible alternative to both APC and PDP.

Salvador further disclosed that the Conscience Forum has over 400,000 members in Lagos alone.

He pledged that the entire structure, including local government and ward officers, would now be fully integrated into the ADC.

According to him, the timing of the defection on the group’s 25th anniversary was deliberate and symbolic, representing a new phase in its political journey.

The event reflected growing momentum behind ADC’s positioning as the political vehicle of Nigeria’s opposition forces ahead of 2027.

It will be recalled that in July, the National Coalition of Political Opposition Movement officially adopted ADC as its platform during a major gathering at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.

Political observers say Aregbesola’s open declaration marks one of the strongest signals yet that opposition leaders are gearing up for a direct showdown with Tinubu.

They note that with Salvador’s defection and ADC’s coalition status, the battle for 2027 could reshape Nigeria’s political map.

Critics, however, warn that opposition alliances in Nigeria often collapse under the weight of ego, ambition, and betrayal.

The coming months will test whether ADC’s “operation ten over ten” can translate from rhetoric into a movement strong enough to capture Aso Rock.
